His coworkers gave him his vacation so he could have 350 days to take care of his daughter with cancer

I don't know about you, but I have on Facebook a lot of people doing a great job trying to awaken consciences, linking to pretty amazing and creepy news, and that little by little is losing faith in humanity. Luckily, every once in a while, shy, among all, appears a story that fills you with a blow, that excites you and makes you think that there is still hope for us, because there are still good people.

I talk about the story of Jonathan Dupré and that of his coworkers, who turned to help him when he learned that his daughter has cancer Y they gave him his vacation so he could be 350 days taking care of her.

Naëlle's terrible diagnosis

Naëlle She is the daughter of Jonathan and Marine. He is five years old and in December of last year, in 2014, he received the terrible diagnosis. They saw that he had kidney cancer and was operated right away to remove a tumor 13 centimeters in size.

After the operation, the girl had to start treatment to try to beat cancer and both Jonathan and Marine turned to support her, help her and try to make everything a little easier. Although he asked for vacations, he soon ran out and had to return to work.

350 days to be with your daughter

Jonathan's classmates decided that his daughter needed him more than them at work and they met with the director of the glass factory where they work to ask to be allowed to donate their vacations. The director agreed (there is a law in France that allows workers to assign their vacation days to a co-worker as long as the company's directive agrees) and together they managed to gather a total of 350 days.

The gesture also caught this father by surprise, who did not expect it. In words to the newspaper Le Revéil: "I found out by mail and I was very excited. Now I can accompany my daughter to the tests and treatments." The girl also had words to thank what her father's classmates they had done for him, and for her: "I am very happy that Dad can stay at home with me."

Bravo for Jonathan, for being a father so involved in caring for his sick daughter and bravo for his coworkers. Surely each and every one of them also has family, and children, and they are all looking forward to Dad taking a vacation to spend time together and despite that, they decided that he needed it most was, his friend and partner, because that way he could be with the most important "little thing" of his life, his daughter.
