Do you need suggestions on beach destinations to go with the children?

Normally we associate summer with high temperatures, late afternoon walks, free time, and continuous contact with water. In this station we all look for the nearest pool, we move to the beachesWe organize water balloon wars for children, and we may even install a portable pool in the patio or terrace of the house.

Although, to alleviate the rigors we can use a simple hose, the experience of spending a day (and even better a week) on the beach, is unforgettable, especially for children. Our colleague Eva Paris from the Diario del Viajero, brings us closer five beach destinations in Spain to go with kids, all of them constitute excellent proposals, without undermining the rest of the options offered by our coastline.

Do you want us to know them a little more? From the Alicante coast (with great beaches and coves) you have selected Calpe, which next to its beautiful beaches, it gives us other natural attractions. La Fossa, that of Levante, or that of Arenal - Bol, all of them are equipped with the necessary services (sun beds, umbrellas), and also have some palm trees. The town also houses up to ten coves that are worth traveling.

We're going to Lanzarote now, with beaches dyed gray and gold, and excellent weather. The beaches Blanca, Flamingo, Dorada ... are tourist places from which you can access numerous services for visitors. No less interesting are Playa Grande, Papagayo and Ensenada de las Caletas. Lanzarote is really a land of contrasts, and an original option to spend the holidays.

And in a jump to the North, we have all heard of the benefits of the beaches in Santander: the Sardinero, the Magdalena, the Camel, the Dangers, the Bikini ... give us a coastal vacation and visit a city of great attractions, with a character forged by its geographical location and the passage of time.

From Mallorca I would recommend the beaches of the Southeast, East and Northeast ... there are many coves there and families can find countless beautiful landscapes that inspire tranquility. Those that are closer to the capital may fancy mass (although compared to some places on the Peninsula, this concept changes a lot, in the Balearic enclave you will not see beaches to overflow). Eva gives us very valid ideas: the area of Puerto de Alcudia, the Platja de Muro and Ciudad Blanca. One recommendation: do not leave the island without admiring its sunsets, or soak up its luminosity.

And we come to Mar Menor: about this area I can attest that it is an ideal destination for families with children, and that although I have never been ... is that it is very close to my hometown, and some of my friends spent their holidays there. It is a large coastal lagoon, its 170 square kilometers of salt water, calm, warm and shallow, are great to go with kids.

I know Calpe well (how many times my parents took me there during my childhood!) And Mallorca because I have lived a year and a half on the island ... I thank Eva for her suggestions, and I recognize that although the Mar Menor is closer, I would love to visit Santander.

This summer at the beach, even for one day, yes, we will protect ourselves from the sun, and we will be attentive to jellyfish notices, just in case. And by the way What beach will you visit this summer?
