The XII Science Week in Madrid from November 5 to 18, 2012 with more than 900 activities

The XII Science Week of Madrid puts science and technology within the Community of Madrid within the reach of all families. You can see from the new technologies in materials to the latest research in robotics through the results of research in new energy policies, advances in astronomy, transport or communications and much more content also presented by the best experts.

The year 2012 can be seen over 900 free activities organized by the General Directorate of Universities and Research of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Community of Madrid, through the madri + d Foundation for Knowledge. The objective of this initiative is to facilitate the relationship between science and society.

We have already started and taking advantage of the day we have gone to the Planetarium to see the presentation of "In orbit with López". It is a video full of characters and content of interest especially for the little ones. It is a production of Toño Bernedo and allows to know the constellations, satellites, the special space station and especially López, a nice satellite that explains to all children their mission and the functions they perform in space. It is a projection of less than an hour that is enjoyed in the magnificent dome of the Planetarium of Madrid.

And there are many activities, from open days to film cycles and exhibitions, round tables, conferences and interesting excursions and itineraries guided by specialists. More than 2,000 scientists from fields as diverse as geology, neurobiology, astrophysics, psychology, architecture and prehistory, among others, have embarked on the exciting adventure of sharing with the public their daily work, their discoveries, their Doubts and your concerns.

The website of the Science Week is full of information and also includes a search engine with lots of options and facilities to choose from. There are excursions to learn about mythology in Madrid, routes through the Hayedo, visits to palaces gardens, tours of old convents and public parks. There are also courses and workshops to learn secrets of infant feeding, development of applications for iPhone and Android, learn to cook with the Sun and many more activities. There are also open days and guided tours of a lot of magnificent buildings in Madrid.

There is no excuse for not enjoying in November in Madrid and in family the XII edition of the Science Week.
