Guide to normal delivery care for pregnant women, future parents and companions

Last month we presented the new clinical practice guide on normal delivery care published by the Ministry of Health with new recommendations for a more respectful delivery that will be distributed in all hospitals.

This guide has a version specially intended for pregnant women, future parents, as well as their companions and relatives which can be downloaded for free in pdf format.

It has been prepared by a large group of professionals and in it you can find information based on scientific literature on the care that healthy women and their babies will receive during normal delivery and birth in hospital maternity hospitals.

It is not aimed at women who expect twins, start labor before week 37, have a baby who has not grown properly, suffer from a problem, such as high blood pressure or diabetes and those who need a C-section or induction of labor .

It contains recommendations on the previous moments, during and after delivery, on unnecessary interventions, the first care of the baby and other practices that constitute a respectful and quality care during the delivery.
