Highlights in Babies and more: November 1-7

Today as every week we offer you a summary of highlights of the last week in Babies and more.

We start with a topic that future parents have in mind, such as the name and surname of their future baby, talking about exclusivity, meaning and tradition, what is most taken into account when choosing the name of the baby and the news which tells us that parents should agree on the order of the baby's last names.

For pregnant women it may be interesting to know what is the erasure of the cervix, to know that peanuts in pregnancy are related to allergy in the child and even to know data that suggest that children could be obese from the mother's womb.

Touching this same issue, that of obesity, we have initiated a series of entries to address this issue. In the first we have discovered that obesity in young children is more important than we think. We have also seen what the pyramid is about physical activity and we have known ten facts about goodies.

With regard to breastfeeding, we have known that there could be a relationship between salt in the diet and the duration of breastfeeding, that breastfeeding with flat nipples is possible, although many mothers (and professionals) believe that it is not So and we have explained that breastfeeding can hurt but it shouldn't hurt.

In relation to one of the most complicated issues of dealing with children (and even adults), death, we have focused on how to talk to children about death and on knowing what the child's stages are in understanding death. Two tickets that can help those who unfortunately find themselves in a similar situation with a family member.

Focusing on the health of the little ones, we have brought you the news of the publication of "Care from birth", a reference guide for professionals and parents and we have talked about sob spasms, everything you should know (I) and (II).

Finally, and following the series of entries dedicated to explaining the possibility (and need) of breeding without scourges, we have offered you some resources on the web, we have talked about internet specialists and pages from around the world that talk about this topic .

We hope that this week the contents of Babies and more find them interesting, enjoyable and practical. We will work to make it happen.
