Al Sense: salvaslip to detect losses of amniotic fluid

It is very common that towards the end of pregnancy there are vaginal losses that we do not know exactly what they are. Given the proximity of childbirth and the risks of infection that it may pose with the Al Sense test can detect losses of amniotic fluid.

It is very simple to use because it is a salvaslip that is placed in the underwear. Al Sense, from Common Sense, contains a test strip inside which, depending on the color it takes, we can check if the loss is one thing or the other. If it turns yellow it is due to a loss of urine, however if the color is blue or green it indicates that the loss is of amniotic fluid and you have to see a doctor.

It is very common during pregnancy to feel unidentified humidity. Urine or flow losses can easily be confused with amniotic fluid.

Not only is it important to recognize losses of amniotic fluid towards the end of pregnancy to confirm that water has broken, but also to detect them after an amniocentesis or for women with a clinical history of premature rupture of the bag.

I knew the homemade trick (recommended by my gynecologist) to place a dark handkerchief in the underwear. If it leaves remains it is vaginal discharge, if it comes out wet and smells like pee, it is pee, but if it comes out wet and does not smell it is amniotic fluid.

But just in case one stays with the doubt, it is always preferable to make sure. The new Al Sense test sold in pharmacies is a reliable and easy way to check.
