However, although they are beautiful images, the day to day of a mother is not usually like that.
A photographer made a real maternity project, where shows through natural, raw and honest images, how mothers live a normal day next to their children.
Giedre Gomes is a child and maternity photographer in Indiana, United States. Usually in her work, called Pictures by GG, she takes care of capturing beautiful images of pregnant women, newborns, recent mothers, children and family in general, which she shares in her Instagram account.
But since Giedre is also a mother, she knows that motherhood is not always like the photographs she takes in her work. Actually, the daily life of a mother with young children at home It is usually quite different from what we see in these photo sessions on social networks.

Through an article she wrote for Bored Panda, Giedre tells how with the help of her friends who are also mothers, she managed to capture the following photographs, to remind the world how motherhood really is.
"Everyone talks about how special motherhood is, and the bond that is shared with a child is like no other, it is a magical journey that is rewarding and satisfying, and could not coincide more. I absolutely love being a mom, it's the best job in the world. I am the mother of two children and I love them, but motherhood is not always rainbows and butterflies"says Giedre.
Giedre's photographs show many of those moments we live as mothers, in which we must do many things at the same time, how to tidy the house and at the same time, take care that our children are well.
Something else that also comes with motherhood and that we live day by day is the loss of privacy, because now our little ones accompany us everywhere, including the bathroom.
Perhaps these images are not dreamy and show more chaos that can be at home when you have young children, but certainly capture those tender and intimate moments next to our children, and those who almost do not talk. Real motherhood may not be glamorous, but it is certainly one of the most complete and beautiful experiences that life can give us.
