8 dangerous toys detected in an analysis

In all likelihood it is not the latest news that we bring to our pages about dangerous toys that are on the market, and more on dates such as those that are approaching, where the sale of toys multiplies. CONSUMER EROSKI has analyzed 40 toys with different characteristics in order to check if they comply with the safety regulations in force, and the result has been eight samples that violate the safety standard.

The toys analyzed are electric, table, dolls, to create, mobiles, costumes ..., intended for babies and children up to 14 years. Some of the dangerous items are well-known brands (Barbie, Famosa, Imaginarium ...) or can be purchased at stores for more famous children.

Four toys incur infringements that can be considered serious: the "Pepo Paint Me" doll, the Barbie Creative Toy with magnets and stickers, the Boxing King wrestling doll and the Mickey Mouse Paint Briefcase. Here we expose the complete list of 8 dangerous toys:

  • Clementoni Barbie. Creative toy with magnets, stickers, coloring paints and molds to solidify. Reference: 65898. Mechanical risk and absence of critical safety warnings.

    • As we can see, breaches of the safety norm affect the design and construction, flammability, electrical or mechanical safety, magnets and the content of toxic substances.

We hope that the complete results of the investigation are published (in December), although for the moment Consumer already has informed the manufacturers and the Administration of these irregularities, so that they adopt the appropriate measures, so it would not be surprising that they will soon become part of the items removed due to danger.
