The hamburger: make it an ally

Our Vitónica colleagues say something very true. Parents put their hands to our heads when our children ask us to eat hamburgers as if it were an unhealthy food.

The unhealthy is not the hamburger itself. Look at the photo that appetizing. The hamburger in bread with gherkin, lettuce and tomato is a nutritious meal with protein, hydrated with carbon, vitamins ... The problem is when the hamburger is made of meat with a lot of fat and is accompanied by sauces, cheese, egg and a fatty package of French fries and soda. That's when it becomes a saturated fat and calorie menu.

To avoid eating so frequently in fast food restaurants, I suggest you do what we do at home once a week. We prepare what we call a homemade McDonald's. It is a homemade hamburger, which can be veal like chicken, with its bread, mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato accompanied by baked potatoes, which are healthier than fried potatoes, and a fruit juice drink.

In this way, children love the plan and we become an ally to the hamburger, which together with the right ingredients, is a highly recommended food for children.
