Alicia has grown and dares to cross the mirror: the latest adventure in Disney's wonderland

There are stories that have magic in themselves, I do not say that they speak of magic but that they have it, in their plot, in their characters, in their apparent without reason. Alicia's story has it and that is why it is new again and again despite dating back to 1865 her "birth" by the hand of Lewis Carrol.

This month (the 27th to be more exact) arrives at the “Alice through the Looking Glass” movie screens where Alicia has grown and dares precisely to cross the mirror, it is the latest Disney adventure in her peculiar wonderland.

And you, dare to cross?

Some of the actors who gave life to the main characters also come back to this fantasy also in that first installment, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter They travel again with Alicia, who this time gives life to the Australian actress of Polish descent (as can be deduced by her last name) Mia Wasikowska and they go in company in addition to Sacha Baron Cohen in a character half human half ... half ... half native to Wonderland!

James Bobin He is the director of this new installment of Alice although the hand of Tim Burton is still present on this occasion as one of the producers, after in 2010 it was he who was responsible for the first installment for Disney of “Alice in the country of wonders ”in" human "version.

Alice's seven lives

Since his "birth" in 1865 of Lewis Carroll's imagination, Alice's adventures have jumped from the book to the screen on different occasions and of course with different degrees of success but it has also been transformed into an opera and even a video game and a television series. Alicia adapts perfectly to all formats in which she has seen the light.

The best known adaptation to the big screen is certainly the one that made Disney in 1951 in cartoon version, combining elements of the original book and its continuation even though "Alice in Wonderland" is titled.

In this 2016 version the characters are still based on those created by Lewis Carroll but the person in charge of the story is Linda Woolverton, screenwriter of other Disney house titles such as "Beauty and the Beast" and who also participated in the script of the Tim Burton version.

What does that mirror promise?

Adventures, promises many adventures and very "psychedelic" too, we can already get to the idea with the main theme music of the movie that is played by Pink.

Alicia has grown, the last few years have been sailing, following in the footsteps of her own father and it is just upon returning to London when she is in front of the mirror that decides to cross and pass to that other side where those old acquaintances who have never waited forgotten, including his friend, the Mad Hatter who will have to save from something or someone.

A story in which the protagonist is a girl, in which he has to save a friend and almost an entire world. A story that we have always liked because it has surprised us practically everyone who will now accompany our children to the movies to meet and recognize this new Alice.
