Again I return to the topic of home organization. I swear that I make many efforts to keep my house and my time organized: the purchase, cleaning, clothes, this blog, the education of my son who wants to know everything, the music classes, the accounts, the associations to which I belong, the field trips and the beach. There are so many things that sometimes, no matter how much effort I make in having a little order, they overwhelm me and I am late.
Since I started to put a few rules to myself and Hector things work better. Instead of reviewing the English they give in class, we make the "English breakfast" which is not to take eggs with bacon in my house, but to speak in English while we prepare and have breakfast. We have instituted it as usual and it is very fun and instructive.
Once a week we fold the clean clothes, iron the most essential and store it. Doing it daily bores us too much. We vacuum a couple of times a week, and while one passes it the other goes scrubbing. And we have even managed to stop having the clothes thrown out there and take it to the bucket (although it seems a lie is what costs me the most).
I do not go to bed without picking up the kitchen, if I do not start the fatal day. But before bed, we read together for a while, a piece each, for an hour, of a book that we both like.
What I do not plan is the weekly menu, but it is impossible in our case, because we have wonderful grandparents who usually appear with the pan full of delicious stews.
I have an agenda where I write the appointments with the doctor, what is pending with the banks, the unavoidable meetings. We even organize once a week all the papers and drawings that we accumulate in the studio. Little by little time is giving more of itself.
